What’s Going On Here?

It’s been a couple weeks since I started this blog and I thought I’d post another “what’s this site all about” post since I’ve had some more time to think about it. I’m sure I’ll have some further insight down the road, but this is what I’ve been come up with so far.

I’m clearly a beginner here. But just because I’m a beginner doesn’t mean I don’t have something to say that can be useful to other beginners, and on the rare occasion, an expert. Everything I write about here is clearly from the perspective of someone just starting out learning the guitar. So, if I make comments about or review equipment it’s coming from the point of view of a “regular person.” If you’re just starting out as well I think you’ll find that useful. After all, most beginners probably aren’t going to be using 90% of the features in that all-in-one fifty-two knob effects unit or home-studio-in-a-box software.

Additionally, I’m hear to show you how I’ve been progressing (or not) as a guitarist. Most of the time when you find videos or lessons on the internet they’re being done by someone who kicks ass already. And I don’t know about you, but those videos frustrate me just as much as they inspire me (sometimes more). So, if you’re a beginner you can come here and check out what someone else in your shoes is going through. You can see in my videos that not every guitarist on YouTube is a rock god mocking your inability. And, if you’re an expert, you can come here and find some material to pass on to your friends under the “check out this looser” category.

Finally, I love guitars. So, I’ll be posting about guitars that I have, want, and would kill for. Old and new alike.

So, if you see anything you like around here then please let me know in the comment section. I’d love the feedback or suggestions. And, if you have your own blog I’ve even implemented CommentLuv so you’ll even get a bit of link love back to your blog.

Thanks for stopping by.

That ’59 Les Paul would be something else!! I had a Les Paul Studio (I think it was 1998), sold it, regretted it.. and have been thinking about picking up a new LP pretty seriously.

I dig your blog.. keep up the good work!
